Friday Weighin on Saturday Morning

Blogging- I forgot to weigh myself Friday morning.  I remembered it later in the day, but wanted to keep my weighin times consistent so I waited until today (Saturday).  So I woke up early this morning and wanted to write my post.  I am really trying to keep up my blog posting, even when I gain, at least I can make myself look at the numbers in black and white.

Food Log-I have been logging my foods everyday but my caloric intact has been all over the place.  Every time I have high calorie totals its because I am not eating veggies.  When I eat a breakfast omelet with veggies its so much food, compared to just eggs with grits or toast.  I have not bought any breakfast meats as a way to cut them for a bit.

Exercise-Walked 2X this week

Water - I didn't do as well as usual with my water.  I need to work on this

MY life - This week I will have my grandkids for 4 of the 7 days.  My oldest granddaughter could use some healthy food choices so I am going to try salad a night or two.

Awareness and Ostriches

Blogging- I have been doing well with my Weightloss Friday Blog.  I just haven't had the inclination to write daily entries and this is good for now.

Food Log-Food Logging is an interesting thing for me.  I suffer from what I call the Ostrich Effect.  The fat person in me insists If I do not log a poor high-calorie food choice (head in sand)....my body won't notice.  How stupid is that?  It has always been that way with me in food logs.  Don't write the calories and fat in that snickers bar and it won't go to be hips. 

This week those poor choices consisted of 3T of mayo in chicken salad, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, blueberry pie and that granddaddy of them all......fried oysters=1,060 calories in one meal.....what an eye opener! Below is my calorie totals, all red :(

Exercise-Walked 4X this week, Gardening 1X

Water - It's getting hot again, that always helps with my water intake.  I think this is the one area that I do the best in...although I do think there is still room for improvement.

MY life - Went to see my surgeon yesterday (Thursday).  He wants me to start classes with a dietician.  It can only help right?  I always do better when I have a cheerleader and someone looking over my shoulder.  Here's the thing......He does not want me to loose any more weight right now if I want to continue to try for the sleeve.  He also said these last few months of appointments will count towards my supervised diet requirements.  So I will be on a tightrope of sorts until after my next 2 monthly appointments which which would be after July.  So my plan is to eat healthy, log my food but not limit my  calories or carbs for now.  I have never ever tried not to lose weight before :-/

Stuck in Neutral

NO LOSS!


Blogging- My 4th week shows no loss.  I guess Zi am a little disappointed but I also know this wasn't my best effort.  I made poor choices on at least 3 days, my plumbing has not been regular and I had crabs,full of salt.

Food Log-My NSV this week is my deliberate effort to eat vegetables EVERY day.  I have  logged my foods all 7 days.  Friday we went to Shaggys's and I ordered chicken Quesidilla?sp only to find out later that is was a minimum 1500 calories, next time I need to make smarter restaurant choices.

Exercise-Walked 5X this week

Water -I have tried to log this but its not working. I am making big efforts to drink water each day.

My 3rd weekly weigh-in

Blogging- This is my 3rd Friday blog, although I haven't done any intermittent blogs, I am happy that I have kept up with my weekly weigh in.  I am going to try an experiment this week...I am going to blog each each day about my exercise, I want to see if it inspires me to be more active.

Food Log-NSV here.  I have logged my food all 7 days this week.  Forcing myself to research calories is helping.  Saturday I scarfed down 2 hot dogs (no fluid in my band) later to find out that was a 534 calorie lunch....and I don't even care for hot dogs...what an eye opener!  Sunday we went to a show and I had popcorn another diet buster POOR CHOICE, afterward we went to eat Italian and I got Chicken Parmesan.  I ate the warm bread with pesto POOR CHOICE.  I immediately cut a small piece of chicken and stuck to it, saving the rest to bring home GOOD CHOICE

Long ago during my weight watcher days, I discovered I have 2 red light foods.  Meaning foods that will cause me to binge.  One is pizza, I will eat it until I bust.  The other is peanut butter, I bought it months ago and it was pushed back in my pantry.  My husband found it and put it in front so I could see it.. Needless to say, I ate the entire jar this week. POOR CHOICE

Water -I have tried to log this but its not working. I am going to find something else to help me track it.  I am trying to stay away from plastic so I use a glass, now I have to find something to mark it.
