Friday Weigh-In

Last Weeks Weight: 206.5 This Weeks Weight: 206.5

Usually I would be I was discouraged by this, but right now I am just so happy to stop gaining.

Blogging- I didn't find the time or the inclination to blog everyday but I am here today for my weekly weighin.  If I can stick to weekly weighins it will be very good to keep me aware.  To be honest, I am retired and don't really have much to blog about everyday, Like I used to.

Food Log-My logging has gone fairly well this week, not the calories, but the act of logging went well lol.  No matter how much I tried to make myself NOT log high calorie foods...I did it anyway.

Exercise-Walked 2X this week, definately room for improvement here.  I am going to be sure to walk a minimum of 3x each week, hopefully more.

Water - I need to find a better way to count my water but I am drinking it each day.

First Day on my own

I wanted to blog my weight today so it will be recorded in my blog.  It helps to see it in black/white.  So far my day has not gone as planned but I am not giving up. 

Blogging-yes!

Exercise- it's raining so my walk will have to be after lunch, if it clears up.  I did do much more housework today than normal.

Might have to take a U turn here...

Today my customer advocate called me and said Medicare will likely NOT cover a revision because my low BMI of 35  She also said I would have to have 5 years records from my family doctors with my weight history and still not likely to get approval if the acid reflux does not show on the GUI..

Well duh! my band is empty now so I know it will not show.  All my hope is deflated so it looks like the sleeve bus will have to change course before it even gets on the road.

Looks like it is back to band again.  What to do? What to do?  Well my thoughts at this point is to make my band work the best it can.  What will that mean? For starters I will have to have it refilled slowly, as much as I can without reflux and stop.  After that it will be up to me. 

I know what works, I have been dieting all my life.  So I need to get myself into the mode again. I need a plan. 

Here are some areas I need to work on.

1 - BLOGGING-Blogging is a biggie, I KNOW it works, I KNOW it holds me accountable and gives me a place to vent without holding back.

2-LOGGING my foods- without a doubt this works for me.  I must write down every crumb or liquid that passes my lips.

3-EXERCISE- I need to schedule it on my calender.  Every morning when I get up, i check my calenders for the day. 
     a. Walking with hubby each am/pm
     b.  gym @ least 3X a week
     c.  a class @ least 1x a week
     d.  swimming laps May-Sept
     e.  wii exercises 1x a week
     f.  bike each evening

4. Scale - once a week and write it down.

This will work banded or not.  No more excuses!

The yellow brick road from band to Sleeve....

Today I met with my Surgeon to get started with the approval process for my revision from band to sleeve.  He said I meet the requirements but there are hoops I must jump through to get approval.  The first hoop will be and UpperGI so that I can show the Reflux problems I am having. 

My appt for the GI is this Thursday, April 23,2004.... In the meantime my band is empty :(

Band to Sleeve

What happened to my followers names?  I guess I will have to convert to google+ to get them to show up?  I am sooo confused with blogger now :(


Tomorrow I have another appointment with my Doctor to work on my approval for surgery.  I have been at this for over 6 months now.  I had fluid put back into my band to try it again with no success, the reflux is back with a vengence.  No matter what... I will have him to empty my band!
