I haven't blogged in a while now, life has been getting in the way. Today, I noticed I reached one of my goals, which was to reach a BMI of 29. I am no longer considered obese, just plain overweight. My weightloss has slowed and now I look for confirmation of my progress in small ways :)
Another thing that I have noticed at this place in my journey. Weightloss and dieting are no longer at the top of my thoughts. Days and weeks go by now without stress over my weight. I certainly try to stay active and as long as I am not slumped on the couch watching television, I consider myself active now. Staying active means enjoying my new life. Running and playing with the kids, walks with my husband, even cleaning closets! I no longer have to keep track of what I am eating. My band will not let me overeat. I know that if I want that piece of cake, I have a small piece and eat it very slowly. If I don't, a Pb is in my near future :) I eat the same foods everyone else has. I do add extra veggies because they are good for our entire family.
I am at a good place with my band. We have learned to co-exist together and life is good!
